snow faces

I was going through my pictures and I found this cute little picture of my roomies on the first night of our first week of school snowstorm. We were so excited and ran around the house to look outside every single window. That night we celebrated snow by drinking red wine, eating starbursts and peppermint patties and watching "The Book of Eli," which was not as good as the Madmen episodes we watched for the next three days.

Even though it's sunny right now, it's supposed to snow this week, and I really hope it does!
I need time to watch Madmen Season 3.

taste or dare

I used to be a stay up late, sleep late sort of person through and through, but this year I've done a complete 180. I can't sleep past 7, and I feel like I have endless amounts of time when my first class doesn't start til 10:10. Today I spent my new found morning hours at Ike and Jane with my roommates Kaiti and Emily.

Kaiti was really brave and tried the Elvis doughnut (a daring combo of bacon, peanut butter, sugar and bananas), but Em and I stuck to coffee and a blueberry jam square. The Elvis turned out to be so good - I'm definitely getting it next time I go.

In a healthier turn of events, I've become obsessed with Real Simple's list of the 30 healthiest foods in its February issue. Tonight I made one of their suggested meals, an Asian rice and vegetable bowl with eggs and chili sauce (click here for the recipe).

I know it sounds as weird as the Elvis doughnut, but trust me, it was just as good!
